Privacy Policy

Weekdial is a Chrome extension that shows a team's week in a side panel. This policy explains what it collects, why, and who else handles it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
The short version.
If you use Weekdial on your own, without signing in, nothing leaves your computer. We hold no account, no tasks and no record of you at all.
If you sign in to share a workspace with your team, we store your email address, the workspace's contents, and a record of any plan you buy. That is all, and you can have it deleted whenever you ask.

Using Weekdial without an account
The free Solo plan needs no account. Your tasks, goals, projects, notes and settings are stored by your browser on your own computer, using Chrome's extension storage. None of it is sent to us and none of it reaches our servers. Uninstalling the extension removes it.
We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind in the extension. We do not know how many workspaces you keep or what is in them.
What we collect when you sign in
Signing in is only necessary to share a workspace with other people, or to use Weekdial on more than one computer. When you do, we collect and store:

We never store payment card details. Cards are handled entirely by the payment provider you buy through. We receive only a confirmation that a purchase happened, the email address used, and a reference number.
Signing in with an email code
If you sign in with a six-digit code rather than a Google account, we store only a one-way scrambled version of that code for up to ten minutes, together with your email address and a count of recent requests to prevent abuse. The code itself is never stored, and it stops working once used or expired.
Who else handles your information
Weekdial runs on established cloud services rather than equipment of our own. Data protection law requires us to tell you who they are, and we would tell you anyway. Each processes information only on our instructions, under its own security and privacy commitments.
- Hosting and accounts — Google (Firebase and Google Cloud Platform)
- Email delivery — Resend
- Payments — Stripe, and JVZoo for purchases made through their marketplace
These providers operate in several countries, including the United States, so your information may be stored or processed outside the country where you live.
We do not sell your information. We do not share it for advertising, and we do not use it to train anything. Beyond the providers above, we disclose information only where the law requires it.
What your team can see
A shared workspace is visible to the people in it and to nobody else. Teammates can see your name, your picture, the tasks assigned to you and what you have completed. They cannot see your email address unless you were invited by it, and they cannot see anything about your plan or billing.
A workspace administrator can see whether an invitation reached an address and whether it bounced.
How long we keep it
- Workspace contents — for as long as the workspace exists. When its owner closes it, it stops syncing immediately; teammates keep their own copy for seven days before their browser removes it.
- Account details — until you ask us to delete them.
- Plan records — kept after a plan ends, because we need them to handle refunds, disputes and support questions about what you bought.
- Sign-in codes — ten minutes.
- Email delivery records — a rolling record of recent sends, kept to enforce sending limits.
- Server logs — as retained by Google Cloud under its standard settings.
Your choices
You can, at any time:
- Use Weekdial without an account. The Solo plan is complete and entirely local.
- Leave a workspace. Your row is removed from the team and your copy is deleted from your computer.
- Export your work. Settings offers a full backup file and a CSV of tasks.
- Ask for deletion. Write to us and we will delete your account and the workspaces you own. We may keep plan records where we are required to, for tax and dispute purposes.
- Ask what we hold. Write to us and we will tell you, and correct anything wrong.
Depending on where you live you may have further rights over your information, including the right to object to how it is used or to complain to a data protection authority. Write to us first and we will try to put it right.
Children's privacy
Weekdial is a workplace productivity tool and is not intended for or directed at children under the age of 13, or under 16 in the EU and UK. We do not knowingly collect, store or process personal data from children. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at weekdialapp@gmail.com so we can promptly delete it.
Security
Shared workspaces are private by default and readable only by their members, enforced on our servers rather than in your browser. Connections are encrypted. Codes and secrets are stored scrambled or not at all. No system is perfect, and if something goes wrong that affects you we will tell you.
Changes to this policy
If we change how Weekdial handles your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will tell you by email or in the extension.
