Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of Weekdial, a Chrome extension operated by Paul Akande of Lagos, Nigeria (“we”, “us”). By installing Weekdial or buying a plan, you agree to them.

1. What Weekdial is

Weekdial is a browser extension that shows a team's weekly tasks in a side panel, with optional sharing between people through our servers. It is a tool for organising work. It is not a backup service, a record-keeping system, or a replacement for keeping your own copies of anything important.

2. The free plan

Weekdial's Solo plan is free, requires no account, and stores everything on your own computer. We make no promise that it will remain identical forever, but we do not intend to take away features you already rely on, and we will not start charging for a workspace you already have.

3. Accounts

You need an account only to share a workspace or to use Weekdial on more than one computer. You are responsible for keeping access to your email secure, since that is how you sign in. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has reached your account.

One person, one account. Do not share sign-in access with others — invite them to the workspace instead.

4. Paid plans

How they are sold

Paid plans are billed yearly in advance, in US dollars. Each plan covers a stated number of seats and shared workspaces, listed on our pricing page. Prices exclude any tax that may apply where you are.

Seats

A seat is one person on a shared workspace. An invitation you have sent counts as a seat until it is accepted or withdrawn. People you invite to your workspace do not need their own plan.

One plan per account

An account holds one active plan. Applying a new licence replaces the previous one, which is then retired. If a new plan has fewer seats than your workspace currently uses, Weekdial will tell you exactly who would be removed and ask you to confirm before anything changes.

Renewal and cancellation

Subscriptions renew automatically on their anniversary at the price then published, unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time; you keep the plan until the date you have paid to, and it does not renew. Cancelling is not the same as a refund.

Changing plan

You may move up or down at any time. Moving up takes effect immediately and is charged pro rata for the remainder of your year. Moving down takes effect at your next renewal, so you keep what you have already paid for.

5. Founding licences

Founding licences sold through marketplace partners are a fixed two-year term for a single payment. They are not lifetime licences, and they do not renew automatically.

A founding licence covers the plan and the seat count stated at purchase for two years from the date of purchase, including updates to that plan during the term. It does not include features later sold separately as add-ons, and the seat and workspace counts do not increase. When the term ends, shared workspaces become read-only and you may renew at the published yearly price or continue on the free Solo plan.

6. Refunds

We offer a full refund within 30 days of purchase. Write to weekdialapp@gmail.com.

A refund ends the plan: access to shared workspaces is withdrawn and any subscription is cancelled. Your work is not deleted — workspaces become read-only and your own copies remain on your computer.

If you bought through a marketplace such as JVZoo, that marketplace is the seller and its refund process applies. We will help you find it, but we cannot return money we did not receive.

7. What happens when a plan ends

Whether a plan lapses, is cancelled or is refunded:

• Nothing you created is deleted.
• Shared workspaces become read-only. Everyone can still open and read them.
• Your free Solo workspace continues working as normal.
• Buying a plan again restores sharing immediately, with everything where you left it.

8. Using Weekdial properly

You agree not to:

• Use Weekdial to store or share anything unlawful, or anything you have no right to share.
• Attempt to reach workspaces, accounts or licences that are not yours.
• Interfere with the service, or attempt to bypass seat limits or plan restrictions.
• Resell, sublicense or redistribute Weekdial or its licence codes without our written agreement.
• Use automated means to create accounts, claim licences, or send invitations in bulk.

We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you first and give you a chance to put it right.

9. Your content

What you put into Weekdial is yours. You grant us only the permission needed to run the service — storing it, and showing it to the people you have invited to your workspace. We do not use it for anything else, and we do not use it to train anything.

You are responsible for what you and your teammates put into a shared workspace, and for having the right to share it.

10. Availability

We work to keep Weekdial running, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. It depends on services we do not control, including your browser and our hosting providers. We may change or discontinue features; if we withdraw something you paid for, we will offer a fair remedy.

11. Liability

Weekdial is provided as it is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost data, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of it. Our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to what you paid us in that period.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose. Weekdial provides a backup export in Settings for exactly this purpose.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you by email or in the extension before it takes effect. Continuing to use Weekdial after that means you accept the updated terms. If you do not, you may cancel and ask for a proportionate refund of any unused period.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in Nigeria.

If you are a consumer residing in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or the United States, this clause does not deprive you of mandatory consumer protection rights granted by the laws of your country of residence.
